Responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing and other routine tasks associated with the department.  

Responsibilities:

Conducts routine and STAT laboratory testing Generalist experience preferred: point of care, hematology, microbiology, chemistry and blood bank  Verifies and communicates test results with multidisciplinary team   

Requirements:

 

 Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school

•Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

• Must  crosstrain in 2 of 3 clinical sections i.e.Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank 

•Hospital experience desired

•Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled

•One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience preferred

•Good oral and written communication skills essential.

 

The pay for this position ranges from $44.29 – $55.62 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
