Candidate must have a NY State Medical Technologist license or Medical Laboratory Science degreeHematology TestingPerform routine CBC, Platelet Concentrate Quality control, Nageotte Procedure for counting WBC (This counting method describes a procedure for visual counting of leukocytes present in leukodepleted blood or packed red cells products), pH testing of Platelets, and processing and examination of peripheral blood smearsMicrobiology TestingSDP Bacterial Impurities Alert (procedure includes sampling and inoculation by using BPA culture bottle to detect aerobic microorganisms in blood)Shifts Available:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 9am - 7pm (with rotating weekends)Wednesday - Saturday 12pm - 8pm (with rotating weekends)Qualifications:
Degree in Medical Laboratory ScienceNYS Medical Technologist licenseASCP certification preferredThe ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in Hematology, microbiology and Blood Bank (They would also consider an entry level candidate)Knowledge and understanding of immunohematology, hematology and medical terminology.Please Apply ASAP for Immediate Consideration!
