Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Medical Technologist for our Laboratory department. This job is permanent, full-time. 
 

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: 

Performs common testing procedures and reports test results. 

Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. 

Performs quality control testing. 

Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests. 

Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing. 

Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques. 

Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens. 

Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

Minimum EducationBachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology and ASCP certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization ORBS equivalency by passing a certification exam given by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MT(AMT), MLS(AMT):□ Preferred, X RequiredRequired Licenses[Tennessee, United States] Clinical Laboratory Personnel Technologist
