**The Medical Transcriptionist will be responsible for:** + Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and/or handwritten pathology cases into the laboratory information system + Identifying problems, determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions + Researching, troubleshooting and follow-up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner **The schedule for this position is: PRN Monday through Friday with flexible hours throughout the day as needed and can be performed remotely.** **License/Certification/Education:** + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent + 1 year experience in Medical Transcription preferred + Previous experience using foot pedal, audio software, and word processing software preferred + Knowledge of medical terms and medical language required + Knowledge of medical billing and codes preferred + Advanced spelling and grammar required.
