Medical Transport Compliance Manager
**Job Description:** Medical Transport serves the entire enterprise through air and ground transport across an 8 state region. Our compliance manager will be in charge of running a team that ensures compliance with the numerous regulatory agencies across this space. **Position Details:** The Compliance Manager supports a culture of compliance and ethics, ensuring quality of care and reducing risks of government audits, fines, penalties, and sanctions. This role involves consulting, investigating, educating, coordinating, and liaising across departments. The position handles a variety of projects and processes, providing oversight and support, and interacting with system executives, leaders, physicians, clinicians, and caregivers. Additionally, the Compliance Manager leads compliance coordinators in the medical transport division, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Caregiver may work remotely, but they will need to occasionally travel to support medical transport. **Essential Functions** + Licenses, Certifications, and Documentation: Maintains all relevant licenses, certifications, and regulatory standards. Ensures completeness of documentation and critical care transport justification. + Error Tracking and Correction: Tracks documentation errors to coach, correct, or provide data for discipline. Addresses trends in poor justification from sending physicians. + Training and Education: Provides training for new hires and ongoing staff training related to chart compliance. Collaborates on quality improvement and education initiatives. + Audits and Compliance: Collaborates on audits for various regulatory standards (CAMTS, CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, EMTALA, DEA). Develops and implement compliance policies and procedures. + Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and address any concerns or issues. + Leadership of Compliance Coordinators: Leads and mentors compliance coordinators in the medical transport division, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies. + Risk Assessment and Continuous Improvement: Conducts regular risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in compliance processes and implement best practices. + Regulatory and Accreditation Updates: Monitors changes in regulatory and accreditation standards.
