Medical Warehouse Logistics Assistant
Overview JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Warehouse Logistics Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our medical warehouse. This position involves managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate must be an EMT-I (Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate) or higher, with availability to be on call during nights and weekends. This role requires strong logistical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and organization. LOCATION: Fairweather, LLC Office- Anchorage, AK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and store incoming medical supplies and equipment Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare medical supplies and equipment for shipment Ensure orders are accurately fulfilled and meet quality standards Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to schedule and track deliveries Warehouse Operations: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities Quality Control: Inspect medical supplies and equipment for damage, defects, and expiration dates Ensure proper labeling and storage of medical products according to regulatory requirements Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods Manage and track shipments, resolving any issues that arise during transit Communicate with healthcare facilities and other stakeholders regarding order status and delivery schedules Emergency Response: Be on call during nights and weekends to respond to urgent logistical needs Utilize EMT skills to handle any medical emergencies that may arise within the warehouse Other duties as assigned Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus Current certification as an EMT-I (Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate) or higher Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling medical supplies Availability to be on call during nights and weekends Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment Ability to work in varying temperatures within the warehouse environment Working Conditions: Full-time position with regular business hours; availability for on-call duties during nights and weekends is required Warehouse environment with potential exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and hazardous materials REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: It is Fairweather's business philosophy and practice to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
