Job Description

Participates in education of physicians, ancillary staff and students related to the rehab programs available within THC. Participates in education of the team related to Inpatient Rehab specific competency training, such as IRF-PAI training. Increases own knowledge base and development by attending formal and informal educational activities and shares knowledge with others. Demonstrates ability to work independently within scope. Assures standards set forth by CMS, Joint Commission and other agencies are met. Active on selected committees for the purpose of exchanging information and participating in performance improvement. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
Job Summary
The Medicare IRF PAI Coordinator is responsible for ensuring documentation in patient's medical records are accurate, detailed, and supports all CMS guidelines for admission and reimbursement for the admission in the Hospital/Facility. This position is also responsible for training new team members regarding their role in the patient assessment scoring as well as educating staff on updates in guidelines and required documentation. Qualifications
Associate Degree required Bachelor's Degree preferred Master's Degree preferred 1-3 years experience in rehabilitation, medical/surgical or specialty area preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Analytical skills necessary to review medical records to complete IRF-PAI. Attention to detail and concentration Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to promote the Hospital/Facility/Unit in the community.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Currently licensed in state of Tennessee or compact state as Registered Nurse in good standing required ABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support required BCLS - Basic Life Support required
