Position Summary
This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.
The Summer 2025 program will run June 2nd - August 8th, 2025. Virtual onboarding activities will also take place May 28th -30th, 2025. This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

The Data Intelligence team supports the Medicare organization and the Stars program within the Aetna business unit of CVS Health. Stars is a rating system that compares the quality of Medicare health and drug plans. Data Intelligence provides data, reporting and application support to help generate insights and address reporting needs focusing on our complex business problems. The position supports Medicare Stars and our mission to provide data collection for all Medicare (assets/information) supporting Medicare Stars by embracing innovative capabilities to discover, extract, load and share information. Our core principles are to build trust and enable secure data sharing to improve the health of our members, via strong partnerships with our customers and colleagues
A Business Analytics intern will work with the Data Intelligence Project Management Office team addressing data questions that arise from our business partners and through our ongoing projects, as well as being exposed to standard IT project management methodologies such as Agile. The PMO team touches all aspects of work within Data Intelligence, from our large scale data structures and data pipelines that support complex processes and analytics to our reports, dashboards and applications that provide day to day operational and strategic information. We strive to understand and clearly communicate the data and processes in our environment to enable our ability to identify how our members feel about us, whether they've met their health goals and how we can positively influence both.

Analysis of data questions, involving research into detailed specifications and data resultsReview and updating of technical specifications, our data dictionary and other supporting documentationResearch into available data for specific purposes.
