The Event Manager is responsible for all elements of the end to end management of an event, including sourcing, group air, logistics, financial management and delivery. S/he will manage the process from Meeting Qualification call and initial venue proposal to post project financial reconciliation, respecting customer and American Express Meeting & Events standards, procedures and policies.

What You'll Do:

End to End National and/ or International project managementNegotiation (Financial, Contractual etc)with suppliersCommunication with meeting ownersExhibit leadership skills when managing project teamOperational management of the event database (planning, registration)Accurate and timely data managementLogistical coordination of the eventMaximizing of revenue per event and understanding of overall contribution to revenue and P&LBudget reconciliation per eventSound Company product knowledge and ability to cross sell products where possibleAnalytical Reasoning – using analysis of today’s meeting data for future event deliveryOnsite assistance (if required, not mandatory)Financial and Data Reporting per event, per clientAdditional duties as requested

Fluent Business EnglishAdditional languages are a benefit to the roleCustomer care excellenceProficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPointProficiency in  “Mail Merge” capability in Word and “Pivot tables” in ExcelProficiency in Access is a benefit to the roleProficiency in Cvent and/or Lanyon (Starcite) – data entry, eRFP, reporting, budget is a plusGDS: Group and individual reservations (depending on market: Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)Minimum of 1-3 years experience in event managementFlexibility and Ability to adaptAble to work well in a TeamUsed to working under pressureHigh level of attention to detail
