Purpose of Role: The Master Specialist is responsible for filling in on each job position within the department, assisting with training new hires and cross training others as needed, participate in OBS, PDCA’s, incident investigations and any other programs as requested. His/her responsibilities also include providing direction, motivation and support to team members. They must act as the fill in Team Leader as required.

Key Responsibilities

SHE Compliance: Drive a culture of compliance and continuous improvement related to Safety, Health and Environmental standards

Operational Optimization: Assist management in attaining quality and production targets using continuous improvement, process management and PDCA to uncover issues and drive improvements throughout operations 

⁠Versatile Deployment: Must be trained and skilled in all  job positions within the department and act as a positional floater in either direct or indirect labor roles as demand dictates

Team Development: Assist in coaching and mentoring teams to meet job expectations, development and growth targets through training, constructive reinforcement and accountability 

Manpower Supervision: Monitor labor resources and adjust as required to meet production goals  

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above

Education:  High school diploma/GED

Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Excel, and other Windows-based programs

Good reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal skills
