The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Membership Event Manager to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Full-Time

\n

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

\n

Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $70,000-$78,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

\n

\n

What Will I Be Doing? 

\n

The goal of the membership department is to develop, organize, and implement initiatives that will optimally maximize and/or increase ID’s, dues income, cash flow, and create a positive membership experience. Reports to Director of Membership Experience.

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

Success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

\n

Member Relations tasks include but are not limited to:

\n\nServe as the primary liaison for all member communication.\nPerform concierge services, including booking Spa, Dining, Room, and Recreation reservations for members.\nSet up and conduct new member orientations.\nMaintain and update the member database and Club website with directory information.\nBe available to assist members at any given time.\nOversee membership administrative functions and support staff.\nHandle all aspects of member-related recoveries and ensure satisfaction\n\n

Event Management tasks include but are not limited to:

\n\nHandle all aspects of event planning, coordination, and execution with attention to detail.\nPlan and oversee up to 50 events annually.\nManage reservations and logistics for member events.\nOversee and manage an annual event budget of $60k, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial goals.\nCollaborate with vendors and in-house departments to ensure seamless event execution.\nWork with Catering to create BEOs (Banquet Event Orders).\nAttend line-up and BEO meetings to ensure event requirements are met.\nPrepare cost breakdowns and revenue reports for accounting and tracking purposes.\nEnsure that all events align with the high standards and expectations of the Hotel Del Coronado brand.\n\n

Skills:

\n\n Proficiency in Opera, Jonas, Go Concierge, Seat Advisor, Quark Xpress, and HotSOS, Club Essentials, Salesforce (optional)\n Ability to interact effectively with members, Del Resort Managers, and other departments while handling challenges professionally.\nStrong organizational skills to ensure smooth event planning and operations.\nExceptional problem-solving skills and ability to handle last-minute changes or requests efficiently.\nExcellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors, departments, and members.\n
