This position is required to pick up at least two, 8-hour shifts per month ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY HallMar Village is a joint ministry of Mercy Medical Center and Presbyterian Homes & Services. This senior living community will offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartment homes as well as long term care suites. With the Village Center at its heart, the community offers inviting and comfortable living spaces along with outdoor elements including patios, courtyards, gardening spaces, and walking trails. This community offers the following care options: 117 Independent Living Apartments, 40 Bed Assisted Living, 20 Bed Memory Care, and 55 Bed Long Term and Skilled Care Center Address: 8900 C Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52302 Responsibilities The Trained Medication Assistant is responsible for the provision of high quality care and services to Care Center residents consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. The Trained Medication Assistant administers medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a nurse and performs Resident Assistant responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications + Successful completion of a state approved training program(OMT)and current certification in medication administration in the State of Iowa. + Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program(CNA)and current certification in the state of Iowa. + Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies. + Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
