The Executive Director is responsible for the management and operation of the community.

Responsibilities Management of community’s operationsMaintaining community compliance with all licensing regulationsEnsuring that required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulations and standardsEnsuring the community and grounds are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe conditionRecruiting, hiring and training the appropriate levels of staff to meet resident and community needsDirecting resident care and interacting with resident families.Assisting the marketing staff secure referrals and admissionsOrdering and inventorying suppliesResolving resident and family complaints and concernsOversees the operations and directs the day-to-day functions of staffEnsures that emotional, physical, psychological, and safety needs are met through all program services and activitiesEnsures that staff complies with the written policies and procedures established by Avalon and the communityManages labor costs, supplies and other line items in department budgetMeets with staff and support personnel to plan and schedule shifts, services, programs and activities Qualifications Knowledge of staffing and schedulingStrong leadership and motivational skillsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills,The ability to maintain composure under stressStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skillsDetail-orientedMust be Texas Certified Assisted Living ManagerOne year management experience in Assisted LivingThree to five years of experience in memory care preferredExperience in supervising and managing staff
