Job Description - Memory Validation Lab Engineer

We are looking for an energetic and passionate electrical engineer with a strong interest in memory test and failure analysis to be part of a team responsible for the silicon validation of memory compilers utilizing the latest process technology.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated and has a strong interest in leading edge memory circuit testing and development. You are comfortable working with Python or in other scripting languages such as perl and tcl.  Coursework or relevant experience in CMOS memory or datapath circuit design is required.

In this role, you will be involved in all phases of silicon validation, including test hardware specification and deployment, test software development, data acquisition and analysis. Your enthusiasm and passion will help our team bring the most advanced memory architectures on the leading edge process node into production. This position requires a BS in electrical or computer engineering, and 2+ years of related experience or a MS in electrical or computer engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Configure lab and test equipment for computer controlled data acquisition system.

Operate test equipment including power supplies, DMM, Oscilloscope

Create, modify and debug memory test software using Python programming language

Conduct memory testing, collect and organize data. Perform data analysis using Python scripts, spreadsheets and other analysis tools.

Document test procedures, summarize and communicate test results to memory design team.

Required Skillset

Skills in Python programming (preferred), perl or tcl.

Familiarity with modern memory architecture and design concepts.

Good understanding of transistor level circuit behavior.

Preferred skillset, Areas of Focus and Professional Development

Linux and shell scripting skills.

Understanding of memory failure modes and statistical analysis

Knowledge of CMOS fabrication methods, digital circuits and device physics.

Communication / Intrapersonal Skills

Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Motivated, self-driven and detailed oriented, can multi-task and work within deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 - $117,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
