Are you ready to lead the charge as a MEMS Design/Process Development Engineer? Join our team in Burnsville, MN where innovation and excellence drive everything we do. Our onsite Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Fabrication is focused on the Manufacturing of MEMS sensors.

As part of the MEMS team, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop novel MEMS designs for sensors in the aviation industry.Define and develop design verification strategy. Identify critical process controls to meet key performance parameters and yield target

What YOU will do:

Define product validation and acceptance tests.Define fab process flow to meet the design intent, key performance metrics, cost and manufacturabilityIdentify gaps and drive initiatives/programs to build margin around structural, electrical, and reliability performancePartner with NPI, Manufacturing, Operations and Quality teams to introduce new MEMS products into manufacturing. Support NPI Engineering to generate and update manufacturing documentation for new manufacturing processesProactively work to evaluate, characterize, and mitigate risks and fail modes on new processes and productsWork with key teams to define and validate specs and to mitigate known and potential yield and qualitySupport NPI and manufacturing engineers for new product introduction, process development and troubleshooting. Identify and drive cost saving opportunities and/or performance improvement.Support current product investigations, design and process changes.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations, and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Working knowledge and experience of the Fab Processes and FlowExperience with CREO/ Solid WorksU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
