SHIFTS AND HOURS
Evening shift, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm working Mondays to Fridays, 40 hours per week Must be available for an occasional but rare call-in
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct assessments on each assigned patient.• Develop measurable treatment plans based on assessment.
• Conduct or assist in group therapy sessions.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions with patient and significant others, as needed.
• Design, develop and implement educational sessions.
• Participate in updating and summarizing treatment plans at clinical staffing.
• Make appropriate entries in the clinical records to document ongoing progress of patients.
• Conduct appropriate referral and plans for discharge and aftercare.
• Conduct orientation with assigned patients and document in the appropriate area of the patient record.
Education and Licensure:
• Associates Degree
• Addiction Counselor Trainee (minimum) through the SD BAPP.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSES
High school graduate with college preferred One year experience in the substance abuse field South Dakota Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor CCDC Level I (minimum)
