Mental Health Associate for the Emergency Department at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Full-Time/Night Shift - Hours are 7:00pm - 7:00am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Part-Time/Night Shift - Hours are 7:00pm-7:00am Friday and Saturday

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible Full-Time external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. 

Provides intervention and continuity of care to patients with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho-social stressors. Interventions involve providing supervision, emotional support, behavioral intervention, and basic care needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral science field; preferably in mental health related field such as social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, and/or social sciences. Or equivalent educ/experience Coursework/Training: Annual training in Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 60 days of hire.     National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 60 days of hire  2 years of experience providing direct care assistance to individuals with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho-social stressors and/or Development Disabilities and/or healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Crisis Intervention or emergency experience.
