Mental Health Associate

Mental Health Associate for the Emergency Department at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Part-Time/Night Shift working Friday and Saturday from 7pm-7am. 

 

Provides intervention and continuity of care to patients with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho-social stressors. Interventions involve providing supervision, emotional support, behavioral intervention, and basic care needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree In a behavioral science field; preferably in mental health related field such as social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, and/or social sciences or equivalent education/experience. Coursework/Training: Annual training in Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 60 days of hire.     National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 60 days of hire. 2 years of experience providing direct care assistance to individuals with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho-social stressors and/or Development Disabilities and/or healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

Crisis Intervention or emergency experience.
