At The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, we are currently hiring an engaging and organized full-time Mental Health Associate to support adults and children with behavioral health needs in obtaining and\/or maintaining their highest functional role in society through vocational, social, and emotional support and interventions.\n

Mental Health Associate Responsibilities\n\nEngages with program participants directly within their community based settings (including home, work, or school) \nGathers information about parties related to their interests, skills, experience, needs and current supports\nCreates and implements treatment plans for participants \nCompletes service authorizations for participants \nSubmits progress notes after each visit with participant\nEncourages and assists program participants in achieving their goals \n\n

Work Schedule: Full time, 40 hours \n

Mental Health Associate Minimum Qualifications:\n\nAt least 18 years of age and have High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Children's mental health, addiction, foster care, and\/or a related human services field\n\n

or\n\n1-3 Years of relevant working experience working with individuals with Substance Abuse Disorders or Serious Mental Health\n\n

or\n\nBachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services field. \n\n
\n\nMust possess a current, valid NYS driver's license that meets Agency Driver Standards.\n\n
