Summary :Job Summary:
This position is intended to provide a well- rounded clinical experience for persons seeking their 3000 post-graduate supervised hours to obtain full licensure in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. The right candidate will have the opportunity to experience a variety of settings across behavioral health to enhance their clinical experience. State regulatory requirements for clinical supervision will be met. Candidate must be flexible, willing to learn and willing to potentially travel between branch locations. The Qualified Treatment Trainee, under general supervision, provides evaluation and treatment services for individual, family, and group therapy for primarily adult patients in an outpatient behavioral health setting.

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities:

Under general supervision, assesses, diagnoses, and evaluates patient’s status to create an individualized plan of care that includes cultural diversity and special needs appropriate to the patient population served.

Provides individual and/or group counseling in an outpatient setting.

Continually assesses patients’ progress and provides interventions and strategies to support the mental health diagnosis.

Prepares and maintains all required treatment records, reports, and other clinical information on time and accurately using current technology in accordance with regulatory requirements and department procedures.

Identifies patient and/or family education needs with regard to the treatment plan and assesses patient and family readiness to learn. Evaluates learning and works collaboratively with the patient and/or family to develop strategies to meet the learning needs.

Develops treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with patient and family as appropriate based on patient needs/goals.

Anticipates and intervenes in areas of patient safety and symptom reduction.

Coordinates referral options and serves as a link between patients and treatment providers.

Documentation and record keeping of all clinical hours towards full licensure.

  

Qualifications:  

Master’s degree in relevant field with Licensure in the State of Wisconsin as one of the following Licensed Professional Counselor In training (LPC-IT), Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in training (LMFT-IT)

 

Physical Demands:

 Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling)

Ability to lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance

Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
