Overview: Seeking licensed mental health clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) for a unique opportunity in a secure corrections environment. You’ll support incarcerated individuals who have a range of mental health needs—from crisis intervention to ongoing therapy. The population is diverse, and you’ll use a variety of clinical approaches. This is an excellent chance for clinical professionals to step into a critical role, providing high-quality mental health services within a specialized setting.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions • Perform psycho-social assessments, crisis intervention, and develop treatment plans • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure regulatory compliance • Adapt to various shifts and environments while delivering culturally competent care
Contract Details: • 13-week assignments, intended for ongoing engagement. • Multiple shift options available (e.g., Wed–Sat 11am–9:30pm; Mon–Fri 3pm–11:30pm; Wed–Sat 7am–5:30pm) • Opportunities at multiple correctional locations • Open to both local candidates and travelers
Qualifications: • Active California LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license (or associate-level working toward licensure) • Minimum 1 year experience in crisis intervention and working with diverse client populations preferred • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
