Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Consultant (LCSW)

Schedule- Full-time & part-time (12 hours a week)

Salary- 120,000 yearly 


We seek a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Consultant (LCSW) to join our team. 

As a Mental Health Consultant, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessments, conducting groups, and providing resources or health services to young adults between the ages of 16-25.


Responsibilities:

- Conduct mental health assessments for young adults between the ages of 16-25

- Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessment results

- Conduct group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns

- Provide individual therapy sessions as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

- Provide resources and referrals to clients as needed

-Conducting applicant file reviews 


Requirements:

- Master's degree in Social Work or higher in related field

- Active LCSW license in good standing, unrestricted license in the state of California 

- Experience working with young adults between the ages of 16-25

- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health concerns

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong organizational and time management skills

Requirements

Qualifications: 

Minimum: Active, unrestricted license to practice as an independent practitioner in state where center is located and does not require supervision to practiced. Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker. Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults. A one-time waiver may be requested for candidates with a master’s degree or higher in behavioral health, and a license to practice independently in the state.

Preferred: Minimum plus Job Corps experience.

Knowledge: Knowledge of mental health issues of disadvantaged youth. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to relate to disadvantaged young adults (16-24 years old) and develop a rapport with students and staff. Ability to make sound decisions. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures in Government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, etc. Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from management, government representatives and students. Strong assessment skills. Flexible work schedule.
