Mental Health Counselor Masters

The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor provides mental health services to the underserved and to primarily Spanish-speaking community members referred to the Family Resource Centers. These services include psychosocial assessments; time limited counseling services for parents, couples, children and families, mental health educational workshops including parent education, support groups and resource information and referral services.  The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor is the link between the Family Resource Center and the monolingual Spanish speaking community and other local agencies and groups that provide services for them. Some mental health services may be provided in various community locations based on community need and requests.

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology or related field 2 years experience providing direct services to children and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D. Licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Clinical Counselor upon hire.
