FTE: Full-Time & Part-Time Shift: Days, Evenings, & Nights Schedule: Varies

Base Pay Structure:
< 1 year experience: $22.92 per hour

5 years: $26.06 per hour

10 years: $29.34 per hour

Shift Differentials:

Evening shift: $1.50 per hour

Night shift: $2.50 per hour

Weekends: $2.50 per hour

Position Summary

The Mental Health Technician is an incredible opportunity to expand your role in health care through functioning as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team. This role is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs.

Responsibilities

You will support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes You will perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds You will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support You will provide and document interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field required; Two (2) years of inpatient Behavioral Health experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree Must obtain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor registration within 60 days of hire unless a higher credential is held Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date Health Care Provider level CPR certification Peer MHT: Self-identify as a consumer who has received mental health services and can demonstrate that they have been well grounded in their own mental health recovery for at least one year Must be eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $22.92 - $33.67 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
