Key qualifications to be considered for this include:
High school diploma or its equivalent1 year of related clinical experience (has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the particular field of mental or behavioral health)Key responsibilities of this role include:Record and document vital signsSupervise mealsRecord and document meal percentagesEncourage daily patient self-care (hygiene)Prepare and supervise snacksPerform and document safety checks on each patient every 15 minutesPerform and document room/contraband checks to ensure safetyPlan and implement therapeutic activity Complete risk prevention measures (fall, allergy)Assist in admit/discharge processAssist patients with basic activities of daily livingCreate a safe, therapeutic environment Build rapport and use de-escalation when necessary
