Our client, a leading Main Contractor operating across the Nordics for global clients, is urgently seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design efforts for large-scale Data Centre projects. As MEP Design Manager you are responsible for leading and managing the design of MEP systems including coordinating with various stakeholders ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Lead, manage, and develop the MEP design, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within the budget.
Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
Evaluate and approve MEP design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Carry out regular design reviews and audits to identify and address any issues ensuring high standards of design and engineering.
Ensure that all designs are thoroughly tested and validated before implementation.
Resolve any design-related issues that arise during the construction phase.
Prepare and maintain accurate & complete documentation for all MEP design activities, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proven years of experience as MEP Design Manager within construction with focus on Data Centre projects.
Strong proficiency in MEP design software & tools such as CAD programs and Revit with the ability to interpret designs effectively.
In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, engineering principles, and industry standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
