Job Title: MEP Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a MEP Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have constant contact with customers, necessitating strong verbal and written communication skills. You will be responsible for visiting sites to get a visual, spec and size out equipment, and then design it.

ResponsibilitiesHVAC design and engineering in Revit and AutoCADDrafting and blueprint readingKnowledge of local, national, and state codesEquipment, duct, and piping selectionsCommunicating with inside and outside customers regarding equipment design, installation, and operations of HVAC systems and controls for the design/build, negotiation, add-on, and replacement marketsSizing of heating and cooling loads for selection of equipment and distribution systemsEstimating and pricing of equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractors, etc.Drafting CAD for adding designs of equipment, duct, and pipe layoutWorking with registered engineers and inspectors for design approvalsDetailed office procedures to assure proper flow from system design through purchasing, installation, pricing, and job costingWork with salespeople on installation projects involving system design, equipment selection, heat loads, energy analysis, CAD, making job folders, ordering, expediting, and checking in on equipmentWorking with the Operation Manager, Installation crew, and subcontractors to assure that the project is going smoothlyAnswering questions, giving PO numbers to the installers, calling for inspections, and following the complete project through the final OEM packetProposal presentations when neededEssential SkillsMechanical EngineeringMEP Mechanical designHVAC designBlueprint readingDraftingCADAdditional Skills & QualificationsA Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Five or more years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC designFive or more years of project estimating and project management experienceExperience with Revit and AutoCAD or similar design software is a plusPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27
