**Overview** Kimley-Horn's Orange, California (CA) office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their MEP team! **Responsibilities** The ideal candidate will have experience in MEP design and engineering consulting, particularly within the healthcare industry. + Support mechanical design execution for various healthcare projects under the guidance of senior engineers + Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, coordination, and budgeting + Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Assist in the preparation of cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements + Participate in MEP systems reviews, engaging with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients to drive compliance and quality. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors + Participate in quality control reviews of MEP system designs, calculations, and drawings + Provide support to designers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams + Gain experience in managing projects, with the opportunity for career growth into senior-level roles **Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environment + Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems + Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower + Proficiency in national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines + Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teams + A PE license is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be considered + Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team + Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability + Willingness to learn and grow in a project management capacity **Salary Range:** $110,000 - $170,000 **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
