Job Description

If so, we are looking for an experienced MEP Project Surveyor MEP to join our expanding team in Aldgate Tower, London to work on a variety of exciting projects. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

About Our Team: 
The Engineering Services and Utilities Team sits within the London Cost Management Team.  We specialise in the Cost Management of Engineering Services and Utilities in a broad range of sectors and end markets

Job Responsibilities:  

AECOM is seeking a MEP Project Surveyor to be based in our London office, you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key commercial, corporate, residential and public clients.

As a Project Surveyor, you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of MEP Cost Management from inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5 – £50m.

Specific Skills Required:

Cost Planning: Area Schedules, Measurement of Quantities and entry onto Estimating software, Cost planning, Presenting Cost plan.Tender Documentation: BQ/Pricing Schedule Measurement, Preliminaries/Appendices, Team/Project leader.Tender Evaluation: Review and Analysis of Tenders, Tender Reports.Feasibility Estimates.Value Engineering and Commercial Awareness.Risk Management.Post Contract Management: Preparation of Valuations, Final Accounts, Cost Reporting, Change Control.Contract Procurement.Fee Generation through existing Client Relationship and repeat business, supporting the development of new relationships on behalf of the business.

Also providing effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.  You will ensure that commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.  You will develop strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team and be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).  

You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver services with a Client focused perspective.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

•    Significant proven experience in a consulting environment providing MEP CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
•    Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients.
•    Understanding of JCT and/or NEC standard forms of contract. 
•    Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
•    Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilise digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
•    Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
•    Willingness to challenge in a positive and engaging manner

Preferred Qualifications :

•    Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
•    Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution
