MEP Specialist
MEP Specialist Job Description We are seeking an MEP Specialist or Commissioning Manager or Electrical Superintendent with strong experience in Data Centers and Electrical fields to join the largest electrical contractor in the United States. The ideal candidate will possess very strong computer skills and familiarity with Switchgears and UPS systems as they relate to Data Centers. This role requires 100% travel with a schedule of 3 weeks on-site and 1 week remote work. The first duty station will either be in Wenatchee, WA, Chicago, IL, Phoenix, AZ, or Boydton, VA. Responsibilities + Change the IP address of your computer to communicate and program equipment. + Basic programming of Modbus, including setting the IP, Subnet, and Gateway address, generating a new password, setting the baud rate and stop bits, and basic parameter changes. + Log into power monitoring software to generate reports for required dates and times through data export. After generating the report and downloading collected data, upload for review. + Set up a laptop and connect to Power Quality Meters (PQM) for recording data. + Install PQM meters on bus bars to record data during load testing, download saved data, and upload to the RX website for review. + Troubleshoot communication issues. + Record and submit copies of work and validation forms. Essential Skills + Experience with Data Centers + Commissioning and testing of UPS/ATS Systems + Ability to travel 100% + Very strong computer skills + Experience in electrical construction + Project management + Troubleshooting + Commercial Construction + Procore software proficiency + OSHA knowledge + Mechanical and substation experience Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5 to 10 years of experience + Mechanical/electrical experience. + Experience with Switchgear, UPS systems, Commissioning, Generators, Chillers, CRAH units, and other Data Center-related equipment + Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling + Ability to travel to various states (WA, AL, AZ, VA, TX, FL, or PA) Work Environment This position involves working on construction sites and traveling around the country. The role will start at a Microsoft Data Center, with a schedule of 3 weeks on-site and 1 week remote work. The candidate will receive travel and expense coverage, including hotel accommodations. Additional benefits include a 401k plan, 2 weeks PTO, dental/vision/medical insurance, $60 cell phone reimbursement, and 10 paid holidays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
