Job Description

Seeking a dynamic Surveyor to join our team, focusing on field surveys of existing mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will not only understand mechanical systems but also manage installations and diagnose problems effectively. This role serves as a crucial link between field operations and office engineers, ensuring smooth communication and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for training junior engineers, imparting essential field observation skills. Expect to spend 50-60% of your time on-site, working on various local projects including K-12 schools and local government facilities.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in DARIEN, IL.

Work Environment

You will work in-office Monday through Thursday, with 9-hour days, and enjoy remote work every Friday afternoon. Our firm integrates architecture, MEP consultancy, and construction, fostering a collaborative environment among the 15 MEP engineers and various teams located in Darien and Chicago. Expect a lot of coordination as most projects are managed in-house, spanning educational, industrial, corporate, and government sectors.
