This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. You will join our MEP Global engineering team in the Arcadis Iasi office. In this discipline, we are focusing our attention on the following domains: HVAC, water distribution, medical gases, sewage systems, fire suppression systems, electrical low voltage, CCTV, security systems, public address systems, etc.
For building installations, we cover all types of assets, from offices to universities, schools, industrial (gigafactories, industrial autonomous warehouses), residential, and retail buildings.
As a Team Manager for the MEPF Team, you will be at the heart of our MEP projects focused on the Germany region, but not limited. This role will require a hands-on approach, as you will be overseeing and directing the team's performance, ensuring top-quality service and adherence to all safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and executing various LV electrical, fire protection/suppression, HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary projects, keeping in mind their successful completion within the desired timeline and budget.
Role accountabilities:
Leadership & Management: Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the MEPF team, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget. Project Planning & Execution: Contribute to planning and design, ensuring efficient execution of all MEPF projects. Quality Assurance: Ensure the team adheres to the highest quality standards, safety regulations, and current legislation. Team Development: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to develop their skills and enhance team performance. Communication & Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for the LV electrical, fire protection / suppression, HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Communicate effectively with other team leaders, stakeholders, and clients, reporting on the progress and challenges of the projects. Continuous Improvement: Assess and review team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans to maximize efficiency.Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory:
Bachelor’s degree (Building Services Engineer). Master's degree or any additional postgraduate studies in a related field would be highly desirable. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary engineering is required, with a focus on MEP projects. A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proven experience in planning, executing, and overseeing large-scale HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary projects from conception to completion. Deep understanding and experience in HVAC systems, water distribution systems, sewage and sanitary systems; Experience with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and/or similar disciplines; A strong affinity for HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary engineering and willingness to continue to build technical expertise; Basic Revit skills required. Medium AutoCAD skills required. Good knowledge of engineering calculations using specific software and/or excel spreadsheets. Advanced English language skills.Nice to have:
Knowledge of specialized software (Revit, CFD, PipeFlow, etc.) would be desirable. Prior experience working in Germanys' HVAC, plumbing, and sanitary engineering market would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of Germany language would be considered a significant plus, given the focus on the Germany market.Key attributes:
