Merchandise Order Specialist

POSITION TITLE:  Merchandise Order Specialist 1  

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor – Merchandise Order Specialist 

DIRECT REPORTS:   N/A

As a Merchandise Order Specialist at AEO, Inc., you will play an important role in supporting the overall product lifecycle process and ensuring product is supported through the entire buy process.  You will work closely with the Merchandising and Production/Sourcing teams as well as other key cross-functional teams including Inventory Planning, International and Supply Chain to ensure this process is done accurately and in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines with our vendors and allow us to provide our customers with the best product.

 

Your responsibilities include:

Issue Purchase Orders for product for all US, Canada and International locations by working closely with merchant and production teams to have accurate info sent to vendors by necessary deadlines Maintain Purchase Orders with all changes and updates that occur between issuance and shipment with high level of accuracy, including but not limited to shipping dates, costs, item details, and modes of transportation  Providing on-going coordination and communication with the cross functional teams to support all purchase order needs through entire buy process Work closely with teams to prep Purchase Order System for all pre-season readiness tasks Manage ticket and security label information for all purchase orders and troubleshoot any issues with Vendor Compliance team and vendors as needed Troubleshoot and problem solve issues with process, data or systems and work closely with teams as necessary to resolve in the best way possible Support leadership on projects and other assignments as needed for business

Qualifications: 

High Degree of efficiency in Excel and/or Google as well as internet applications Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within and across teams Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION: Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
