Entry level position to learn the Company planogram process.
With guidance, design and create planograms to support assigned updates through the line review process. Coordinates with members from multiple departments for approval of product placement, inventory requirements, and signs and displays.
Responsible for learning, operating, and maintaining JDA Space Planning software.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under direction of Merchandise Presentation Supervisor (or experienced team member) - create product displays in the model store for all annual updates and various seasonal projects.
Under direction of Merchandise Presentation Supervisor (or experienced team member) - coordinate information/meetings required with other departments and/or individuals to ensure details relating to specific displays are addressed and communicated to internal departments and planograms approved prior to issuing.
Produce planograms, digital photos, and sequence lists for assigned planogram updates.
Responsible for preparation and issuing of instructions required for the stores to complete planogram projects.
Ensure planograms are correctly fed into the AS400 system.
Create/revise displays within the JDA Space Planning system to report product, fixture and signage needs correctly for both existing stores and new store orders.
Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of the model store including the maintenance of the store’s inventory, ordering and returns procedures.
Responsible for maintaining the Product Database of product dimensions and package sizes for assigned categories.
Responsible for conducting weekly inter-department meetings to communicate projects going to stores so all are informed.
Provide support to store personnel by answering questions and advising on display locations, supplies, fixture or sign needs.
Collaborate with the Store Design team to execute various inter-departmental and store projects as needed.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience in retail, retail merchandising, operations or computer systems/IT.
Ability to learn planogram procedures.
Ability to take instructions, apply planogram concepts and work independently.
Desired:College Graduate with experience in visual merchandising.
Experience in operation of a retail auto parts store, planograms, and merchandising techniques.
At least one-year experience in planogram procedures and merchandising techniques, and knowledge of Windows-based space management/planogram applications.
Basic knowledge and understanding of mainframe technology.
