The Merchandise/Space Planner is responsible for optimizing the use of retail space and ensuring that merchandise is effectively allocated to meet sales goals and enhance the shopping experience. This role involves analyzing sales data, forecasting trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and implement strategic space plans that drive business success.
This position sits in our Pearland, Texas office Mon - Fri. This is an in-office opportunity only.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute detailed space plans for store layouts, ensuring efficient use of space and maximizing sales potential.
Create and maintain floor plans and planograms to optimize product placement and store performance.
Monitor and analyze space utilization metrics to make data-driven recommendations for layout adjustments.
Collaborate with the buying team to forecast merchandise needs based on historical sales data, trends, and promotional events.
Analyze sales and space performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and develop actionable insights.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to space and merchandise planning, including sales per square foot and inventory turnover.
Work closely with visual merchandising teams to ensure alignment between store layout and brand presentation.
Coordinate with store managers and regional teams to address space and merchandise challenges and implement solutions.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in space and merchandise planning.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8 + year’s relevant experience required.
Knowledgeable in JDA Category Management Suite, including Space Planning, Floor Planning, and Category Knowledge Base (or similar Space Management tool)
