POSITION SUMMARY: Analysts are responsible for maintaining all function of inventory control in the areas they are responsible for also maintain the highest possible turns and in-stock position possible.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Gross Profit Margin Assist the Merchandise Manager and Merchant in attaining the highest sales and gross margin dollars Inventory Assist the Merchandise Manager in inventory control, including inventory balancing and stock reductions to ensure maximum turn and in-stock position Advertised Items An analyst will ensure the stock status and anticipated needs of merchandise to be advertised Administrative Accuracy Ensure accuracy on vendor order guides, bin tags, purchase orders, letters, inventory counts, SKU descriptions, SKU hierarchy, and in – computer stock status in terms of active, discontinued, deleted, mark-down, special purchase, seasonal and good deal Automatic Replenishment Systems Assist the Merchandise Manager in automatic replenishment of merchandise Demand Chain Management efficiently Responsibility In addition to the functions outlined above, the Merchandise Manager or Chief Merchant may assign additional job duties throughout the year.  Analysts are also responsible for passing on useful information when they notice problems developing in other areas.
