SUMMARY
Working with general supervision, the Merchandising Assistant, Pre-owned Business assists the pre-owned team with the data integrity, purchase, promotion and distribution of GameStop products. The principal business outcome for this position is profitable sales through product assortment, product availability, and competitive pricing. Associate may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Some non-routine activities may require a supervisor’s advance approval.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Assist pre-owned team with the creation, set up and tracking of all pre-owned SKUs.Generate and distribute weekly merchandising reports. Provide support for price change implementation.Maintain and create BOMs (Bill of Materials) to facilitate product movement through the refurbishment operation.Create and track purchase orders for external product purchases.Coordinate with internal partners to ensure that product is allocated and shipped from the warehouse in a timely manner. Manage promotional request submissions.Assist in coordinating field communication and responses to the field related to the pre-owned business.Assist Merchants and other merchandising personnel as needed or required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, merchandising, or related field from an accredited program preferred; additional education in retail merchandising, buying, marketing, and business analytics is a plus 1-2 years of related professional experience preferred; closely related work experience may be used as a substituteMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
