Merchandising Buyers Assistant

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Combine the paperwork for the previous days receiving with purchase orders of assigned buyers to give the Invoice Coordinator.Copy purchase orders for Logistics pickup (deliver to logistics) or Courier pick-up.Combine and file purchase orders with processing logs for assigned Buyers.Track orders of assigned buyers to confirm appointments and contacting vendors to resolve any issues.Process deduction letters/repayment requests of assigned Buyers in a timely manner.Order and track special order requests, as needed.Maintenance of all order and vendor changes.Imaging research for buyer/category manager on request.Answer and expedite phone calls and emails pertaining to assigned Buyers.Assist assigned buyers with setting up new items, keying deals, and filing.Process requests for copies of Bills of Lading.Assist with processing invoices, as needed.Key Price changes, as requested.Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedures regarding good business and department practices are followed.Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.Other duties as designated by Director of Procurement, as needed.

 Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent, required.Must be able to type with speed and accuracy.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Must be able to complete job duties with minimum supervision.Must possess a high level of attention to detail, be goal oriented, and possess strong work ethics. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with associates, management, and suppliers. Ability to prioritize, organize, and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily.Ability to attend on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as additional time as needed to fulfill job duties through regular attendance.
