Merchandising Data Support Specialist

Pet Food Express is seeking a Part-time Merchandising Database Support Specialist, who will assist the merchandising team by ensuring that every single product detail in our databases is spot-on, especially when it comes to pricing! From the time we introduce an item until we retire that item, we will rely on you to keep every item within our internal databases updated with accurate pricing. Your superpower? A serious eye for detail and the ability to communicate like a pro. You’ll work alongside all-star teams, collaborating with departments like Category Management, Purchasing, Replenishment, Distribution Center, and Accounting to make sure all data flows seamlessly. You’ll also be regularly connecting with vendors and team members, keeping them in the loop about important product and vendor changes. This role is perfect for someone who loves the thrill of meeting deadlines, solving problems on the fly, and ensuring the details are perfect, every time. Responsibilities:

Work with Category Managers to maintain accurate item pricing, and process price changesMonitor online pricing compliance and data integrityTranslate vendor information to our inventory database and validate all data prior to entryResolve price discrepancies by working with vendors and cross department teamsPull and compile data from multiple sources with a heavy emphasis on Excel to provide reporting to internal and external partnersAudit the creation and maintenance of items in our inventory databases as neededReport new item info to the Replenishment and team to assure efficient ordering and receiving flow as neededEfficiently resolve or escalate active and potential problems to keep products and projects flowing through the supply chainUse relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with predefined business rules and logicIntimately understand the items we carry; how they are packed, shipped, displayed, and soldExpertly answer cross departmental questionsIdentify and anticipate bottlenecks in the supply chain and work to resolve and prevent them from happeningSupport Merchandising Operations department with ancillary tasks as needed

The salary range for this position is expected to be $26.00-30.00/hr. Pet Food Express determines starting salary based on many factors, including but not limited to, local market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation practices, a candidate’s actual skills and experience.
