Position Summary
The Director of Price & Value Innovation will design and implement holistic price and value strategies that drive customer value perception in alignment with category roles and overall sales, trip, and margin objectives. You will work within the Price & Value team, partnering with peer-experts focused on innovating and executing everyday pricing, promotion, and coupon strategies as well as category merchants responsible for overall front store category strategy and financials.
You’ll gather internal and market data, build and conduct robust analyses to develop customer and category insights, test & learn and deploy refined price & value strategies within the CVS Pharmacy front store business.
Successful candidates will be strategic thinkers with the ability to structure and solve complex problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Clear, compelling storytelling with the ability to impact and influence stakeholders at all levels will also be critical to this role.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement test & learn agendas including hypotheses, test design, measurement & implications for the business.
Present facts and recommendations in a compelling story that brings audiences along, in forums that include structured working sessions and leadership strategy discussions.
Structure & solve multi-dimensional business challenges through robust data, internal and external customer & category analysis to identify insights & actionable strategies to drive customer value perception.
Identify insights & actionable strategies to drive customer value perception. Develop and test to implement holistic, customer centric value strategies to inform scalable business driving strategies.
Create and evaluate business scenarios via business case development, P&L proformas or expected results / success criteria.
Create and manage multi-dimensional, multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans, including reporting & measurement to continually refine results.
Build trusted and collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Front Store organization including merchandising, marketing, loyalty, store operations, data science.
Required Qualifications10+ years of relevant experience in either Management Consulting or Retail/CPG with Merchandising familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes
Ability to abide to a hybrid office approach of 3 days in office, 2 at home, out of our Welleslley, MA, Boston, MA or Woonsocket, RI offices
Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience leading, developing, and managing cross functional teams
Willingness and ability to travel up to (25%)
Self starter, self led, project manager
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to concisely present to senior leaders and build trust.
Ability to create & tell a compelling story telling across teams & level

Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Previous Management Consulting experience
Specific experience in Retail category management, CPG, or vendor management leading strategic commercial projects with significant business impact
Retail/CPG experience and/or experience analyzing large customer / transaction data sets
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
