What You’ll Do
As a Merchandising Support Specialist, you will be supporting the purchasing department on store and customer support.
Work with Store Operations and Purchasing on outstanding purchase orders that are causing errors.Execute entering of special orders generated by Store Operations.Troubleshoot purchase orders that fail to be transmitted between suppliers, stores, and distribution centers.Assist Store Operations with customer requests.Assist Store Operations with request of returns on overstocked products. Assist Store Operations with items not scanning correctly. Identify the issue and correct to ensure stores can continue to work efficiently. Manage the Merchandising Help Desk Ticketing system to ensure stores/customers are taken care of in a timely manner. Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King’s Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualities for SuccessAt least 2 years of customer service experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.Strong understanding of retail business practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; especially Microsoft Excel.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn Samange and Oracle systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas, instructions, and information clearly and concisely. Proven track record of establishing and maintaining positive relationships. Experience in working with complex data or documents, carefully examining details, and verifying information for completeness or correctness.Adaptable in response to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving business needs.Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.Ability to navigate and access all facilities.Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.Close vision for computer-related activities.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.30 per hour and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
