What You’ll Do:
Drive Success Across Teams: Set ambitious goals and work hand-in-hand with merchandising, operations, supply chain, loyalty, e-commerce, marketing, and more. You’ll be at the center of the action!Build Relationships That Matter: Develop positive, productive partnerships with category vendors and external partners that fuel success for everyone involved.Champion Promotions from Start to Finish: Lead all aspects of promotional programs, from selecting products and forecasting demand to pricing, engaging vendors, and driving results with digital and flyer content. You’ll also measure performance to keep raising the bar.Leverage Data for Big Wins: Use your analytical skills to craft smart, customer-focused strategies that drive results and make our customers happy.Optimize for Excellence: Work closely with the Category Director on product assortment, planogram designs, and in-store merchandising strategies, collaborating with Associate Merchants, Space Planners, and Supply Chain teams to bring it all to life.Stay Ahead of the Game: Research industry trends and competitive benchmarks to ensure we’re always offering the best pricing, products, and promotions.Be a Financial Guardian: Oversee profit and loss for your category and support market share performance, keeping our goals on track.Innovate and Lead: Host vendor meetings, negotiate product costs, and evaluate new products and innovations with an eye on enhancing our private-label offerings.What You’ll Need:
Education & Experience: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience, and at least one year of experience as a merchant, buyer, or in retail sales/merchandising.Curiosity & Boldness: A fearless, curious approach to taking on challenges and finding solutions.Influence & Collaboration: The ability to inspire and work with teams across the company.Data-Driven Thinking: Strong analytical skills and a knack for using data to make impactful decisions.Business Savvy: Knowledge in finance, business, and retail.Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and various software platforms.Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
