Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a skilled Mergers & Acquisitions Associate Attorney to join their Corporate & Securities team in New York. This practice group represents buyers, sellers, and advisors in complex, high-stakes M&A and private equity transactions worldwide. Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Active Bar Admission in New York. 4–7 years of substantive M&A and private equity experience. Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex M&A and private equity transaction documents. Demonstrated ability to serve as a key member of deal teams, managing aspects of transactions from due diligence to closing. Prior experience with an AmLaw 50 firm is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions, offering strategic legal and technical guidance. Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition agreements, equity documents, and related transaction documentation. Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts, ensuring comprehensive analysis and compliance. Manage critical transaction components, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless client service. Stay updated on financial and market trends to provide forward-thinking counsel.
