About the Job
The Onboarding Specialist is the main point of contact for new hires and is responsible for providing comprehensive support and direction during their onboarding and orientation process. The Onboarding Specialist will facilitate 1-on-1s and group meetings with new hires on a recurring cadence and provide direct reporting of retention and development to each new hire’s leadership team regularly. This position will also demonstrate company culture and values throughout orientation by maintaining positive relationships, demonstrating efficiencies, and open communication.

Contribute to a positive candidate experience by acting as a candidate advocateContinuously monitor the onboarding system and intervene where necessaryExpeditiously review and move candidates through the necessary predefined onboarding stepsAttach the appropriate hiring package to each onboarding candidatePartner with HR to evolve the onboarding process based on changing regulatory demandsMaintain excellent documentation within the applicant tracking systemEnsure adherence to all equal employment opportunity lawsEnsure all necessary logins are created and functional for frequently used applications (Salesforce, Workday, etc.)Meet with New hires to outline onboarding training modulesAudit and follow up on course completion within the new hire's first two days of employmentFacilitate orientation training call for in-store behaviors and strategyReport on new hire performance to the field leadership teamWork directly with the internal onboarding team to ensure login credentials arrive in time for new hires to begin workingConduct regular touch-base calls with the new hire team throughout NHOCollaborate with DM team to align on development directionAudit NHO course completion and provide summary feedback to the DM teamAdminister the NHO Sentiment survey and partner with the training team for process improvementsPerform all other duties as assignedPerformance Measurements:
The onboarding specialist will be directly responsible for the completion of each step/phase of the orientation process by the new hire. New hires are expected to complete all required training and compliance requirements within the first 14 days of employment.95% complete or above in 14 days = 100%70% - 94% = 50%<70% = 0%The onboarding specialist will also be responsible for maintaining an employee retention rate of 90% or better throughout the first 45 days of employment.90% and above = 100%70% - 89% = 75%<70% = 0%Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required1 - 2 years relevant experience; in recruiting, sourcing, customer service call centerPassion for improving candidate, hiring manager, and recruiting team experienceProven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficientlyWhat You Can Expect From 2020 Companies
