Scope of Responsibility:  

Responsible for the execution of the productivity of the department. Ensure the overall efficacy of the department and assist the supervisor with day to day operation.

 

Essential Duties:

Measuring and marking our cutting and bending linesDrill holes in metal for screws, bolts and rivetsPrepare and run complex bend setups and forming operations, including custom punch/die modification used in combination with other tooling (either standard or custom)Read blueprints to understand geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished partDouble checking design specifications before commencing with cutting workAdditional duties as assignedContribute to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization and cleanliness in your area of operationFollow proper safety proceduresContribute to team effort by communication and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed

 

Position Requirements:

Must be able to use drills, impacts, and basic hand toolsMust be able to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme heat and coldMust possess the ability to comply with safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manualsMust have excellent attention to detailHigh school diploma, or equivalentTraining in vocational schools or related on-the-job experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50lbsMust be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping , bending, twisting and handling of materialsMust be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noiseMust be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts including weekendsPosition requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individualMust have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
