Reads commercial and residential meters. _ *Key Accountabilities*_ * Calibrates/repairs meters and relief for Meter Readers and FSR's. Reads commercial and residential meters which include the following: Inventories meters and test meters. Repairs meters outside and inside. Performs on/off orders and change meters as required. Walks on uneven surfaces and through snow and ice at times. May have to uncover meters. May have to climb stairs on an occasional basis. May have to go into confined spaces on an infrequent basis. Risk of dog bites when on the route. Works in all weather conditions. Walks consistently between meter locations. Carries computer (handheld) and wand which weighs 3-5#. Touches want to the meter and it automatically records the data. May have to manually push button entry on an infrequent basis. Most touch pads are located at ground level, trunk flexion and side bending, reaching to the side, neck flexion, and forward reaching with wrist extension. Occasionally reaching to shoulder level. Tools use are computer (handheld) and want, meter lid key, metal detector. (%) * Occasionally on a daily basis drives van to location which include the following: steps up into van with automatic transmission. Grips the steering wheel and uses hand and foot control operations. Neck rotation. (%) * Infrequently performs computer data entry which include the following: Seated task at desk with adjustable office chair. Uses keyboard and mouse, fine motor coordination task. Works approximately 15 minutes in morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon. Slight neck flexion and rotation. Carries handheld (3#) and docks it into the computer. Tools used are computer, adjustable chair, handheld.
