**Job Title: Meter Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and professional Inspection Technicians to perform periodic facility inspections and surveys on utility-owned gas meters. This position requires candidates to enter customers' homes, communicate effectively, and demonstrate mechanical abilities. This role offers a significant impact on public safety and continuous career development. **Work Environment** This is a 100% field-based position within the NGRID service territory, primarily in Brooklyn and Queens. Candidates must be flexible to travel within the utility territory. Training includes OSHA orientation, classroom sessions, homework, and practice exams, with a probationary period of 90 days. Operations hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm, with potential Saturday shifts at the supervisor's request.
