Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Meter Technician II. The Meter Technician II will support meter programming, equipment installation, site wiring verification, testing, troubleshooting, and certifying 3-phase revenue meters.

What You'll Do

Work with others to program, install, test, troubleshoot, and certify electronic and electromechanical kWh meters and various electronic data recorders Basic understanding of meter programs that read revenue and real time data and account for complex system losses Factory Acceptance Testing of communication parameters and revenue data output of CAISO meters With the support of others verify the wiring and meter accuracy of commercial and utility scale revenue metering installations Investigate the causes of commercial and utility scale metering problems, make repairs, and/or advise customers on possible solutions Work with project management on various project tasks Work with others to assemble metering panels Use common, discipline-specific software Maintain schedules set by others and provide timely progress reports Provide accurate and daily accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry Understands actual time required for most tasks Completes project work as assigned Occasionally works independently in the field while coordinating with the client

What We Expect from You

Basic understanding of Revenue Metering Systems Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities Demonstrates excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work well within a team Takes ownership of quality of work Strong attention to detail Acts with integrity and pursues excellence in work Two-year technical degree or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electrical revenue metering Basic understanding of engineering design drawings, including SLD, 3LD, logic diagrams, and DC schematics Experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and additional software knowledge depending on specialization Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards. Ability to travel nationwide for training (as needed) and to various project locations within California. Must be within driving distance of our Rancho Cordova, CA office Minimum 50% travel Must have the ability to work permanently in the US

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $76,500 - $103,500
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
