Job DescriptionResearch, design, and execute analytical method development studies to assess the feasibility of new analytical techniques or modifications to existing methods. Aspects of studies include sample preparation and analysis utilizing various instrumentation.Perform analytical validation studies to provide data in support of proposed analytical method.Provide training and technical support to laboratory personnel to implement newly developed methods.Recommend improvements and troubleshoot existing analytical methods to enhance efficiency and performance.Ensure the proper maintenance of assigned equipment and instrumentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and perform operational qualifications prior to development or validation studies as per SOP requirements.Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), generate technical reports, and prepare data for internal and external presentations/technical discussionsExternal presentations and publications are highly encouraged and valued.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

Hands-on experience in sample preparation using various Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) and cleanup protocols.Proficiency with a range of instrumentation, including GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-FID, LC-FLD, LC-MS/MS, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS.Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex data effectively.Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.Capability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in task execution.Eagerness to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain accurate records, adhere to instructions, and comply with company policies and procedures.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions and take proactive steps without requiring extensive guidance.Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently, ensuring timely and efficient completion.

QualificationsProven hands-on experience with various analytical instrumentation, along with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot methods and instrumentation-related issues effectively.In-depth understanding of analytical chemistry principles and methodologies.Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in chemistry is highly desired.A minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise and practical knowledge.

Additional Information

Position is Full-Time: Monday- Friday, 9am- 5:30pm
