Labcorp Drug Development helps to develop new drugs, medical devices and diagnostics. Your role is vital to improving the health of family, friends and animals.

Essential Job Duties:

Primarily responsible for the development/ transfer, and validation of analytical methods within Molecular BioA.

Responsible for the scientific, technical and regulatory conduct of studies allocated to him/her, including the review and approval of data and documentation.

Actively involved in scientific discussions with Sponsors and provides effective communication with all internal staff, including QA and the Project Management Office (PMO).

Participates in innovation projects or process improvement initiatives.

Has a responsibility to collaborate with and provide support to Method Development (MD) Analysts and Scientists, Operational Analysts and Lead Scientists, and represents a technical point of contact.

Engages with all stakeholders at initiation and throughout designated projects, taking responsibility for technical discussion and practical aspects, including assay troubleshooting.

Where appropriate conducts work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (GLP, GCP and CLIA).

Identifies laboratory issues and raises investigations.

Provides support in aspects of Laboratory Investigations, CAPAs, Change Control and Quality Records.

Answers study related audit comments.

Education & Experience:

Method Development Supervisors are the most successful at Labcorp with the following:

Bachelors Degree or higher, in a science field.

At least 5+ years of relevant work experience with at least 3+ years of experience performing Bioanalytical method development on ELISA or PhD plus 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.                                                                         

Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for specific area. 

Knowledge of automation technologies.

Effective communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record of troubleshooting relevant technologies.                                      

Attending technical conferences and exhibits as required.

Understanding of the drug development process, regulatory requirements and the scientific techniques of Bioanalytical studies required.             

Pay Range starts at $78k and goes up based on experience and education.
